Job Description

At TORQ Commodities, we are a high-performance conduit between origin and opportunity, committed to building sustainable supply chains across agri-commodities and minerals in Africa and Asia. As part of our expansion strategy, we are initiating our Natural Rubber portfolio and seeking a Sales Manager to lead market development in India, one of the world's largest consumers of natural rubber. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Revenue Generation:** Build and manage the end-to-end sales pipeline for natural rubber in India, targeting tyre manufacturers, industrial users, and rubber processors. - **Client Development:** Leverage existing relationships and develop new key accounts to ensure recurring business and long-term client loyalty. - **Market Intelligence:** Track pricing trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to inform product positioning and trading strategies. - **Cross-Border Coordination:** Work closely with TORQ's sourcing, shipping, and operations teams in West Africa to align supply capabilities with client requirements. - **Contracting & Negotiation:** Lead commercial negotiations, pricing discussions, and contract closures with clients. - **Brand Representation:** Represent TORQ at trade shows, industry conferences, and customer meetings to enhance visibility and credibility in the Indian rubber industry. - **CRM & Reporting:** Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, forecasts, and client feedback in the company's sales management systems. **Key Requirements:** - **Experience:** Minimum 5-8 years of hands-on experience in B2B sales of Natural Rubber in India with direct exposure to tyre and/or industrial rubber clients. - **Education:** MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification in Sales, Marketing, International Business, or related field from a reputed institution. - **Industry Network:** Strong network across procurement teams of major tyre companies, rubber product manufacturers, and industrial buyers. - **Commercial Acumen:** Proven ability to manage negotiations, pricing, and contracting with an ownership mindset. - **Execution Skills:** Highly organized with a bias for action and a track record of delivering results under pressure. - **Collaboration:** Comfortable working in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams, particularly across time zones. - **Mindset:** Entrepreneurial, proactive, and aligned with TORQ's values of transparency, agility, and long-term value creation.
