Job Title: Sales Executive (New Business Development & Customer Relationship) / Sales Executive - NBD & CRR Department : Sales & Client Success Reports To : Sales Coordinator Location : [ Pune, Maharashtra] Job Type : Full-time Salary : Base Salary + Performance-Based Incentives/Commission Key Responsibilities: I. New Business Development (NBD): 1. Lead Generation & Prospecting: β—‹ Proactively identify, research, and qualify new business opportunities and potential clients through various channels (e.g., cold calling, email campaigns, networking, industry events, referrals, market research, online platforms). β—‹ Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads, continuously seeking out new avenues for growth. β—‹ Understand target market segments and develop tailored strategies to penetrate new accounts. 2. Sales Cycle Management: β—‹ Initiate contact with prospective clients, conduct engaging initial conversations, and effectively articulate the value proposition of our products/services. β—‹ Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to understand client challenges, pain points, and business objectives. β—‹ Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations (virtual or in-person) customized to individual client needs. β—‹ Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to successfully close new deals, ensuring profitability and adherence to company guidelines. β—‹ Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Marketing, Product, Legal) to facilitate the sales process and resolve any complex issues. 3. Market Intelligence: β—‹ Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and1 refine sales strategies. β—‹ Provide feedback to marketing and product teams on market demands and competitive landscape. II. Customer Relationship & Retention (CRR): 1. Account Management & Relationship Nurturing: β—‹ Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of existing clients, fostering strong, long-term relationships based on trust and mutual understanding. β—‹ Regularly engage with clients through scheduled meetings, calls, and check-ins to assess satisfaction, identify evolving needs, and provide ongoing support. β—‹ Act as an advocate for clients internally, ensuring their feedback is heard and their issues are resolved promptly and efficiently. 2. Upselling & Cross-selling: β—‹ Identify opportunities to upsell additional features, higher-tier products/services, or cross-sell complementary offerings that align with client needs and business goals. β—‹ Present compelling business cases for expanded solutions, demonstrating clear ROI for the client. 3. Retention & Churn Prevention: β—‹ Proactively monitor customer health and engagement to identify potential risks of churn. β—‹ Develop and execute strategies to retain at-risk accounts, including re-engagement plans, value reinforcement, and issue resolution. β—‹ Manage contract renewals, ensuring timely and successful renegotiation of terms. β—‹ Gather testimonials and referrals from satisfied clients. III. Reporting & Administration: 1. CRM Management: β—‹ Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and detailed records of all sales activities, customer interactions, lead statuses, and pipeline progression in the sales FMS . β—‹ Utilize CRM data for effective territory planning, forecasting, and reporting. 2. Performance Analysis: β—‹ Track and analyze individual sales performance against NBD and CRR targets (e.g., new client acquisition, revenue from existing clients, retention rates). β—‹ Prepare regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and customer health for management review. Required Skills & Qualifications: ● Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. ● Experience: β—‹ Minimum of [e.g., 3-5] years of progressive sales experience, with a proven track record in both New Business Development and Account Management/Customer Relationship roles. β—‹ Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed ambitious sales quotas for both new sales and retention/growth from existing accounts. β—‹ Experience in [mention specific industry if relevant, e.g., SaaS, B2B, Financial Services, Manufacturing]. ● Sales & Business Acumen: β—‹ Strong understanding of the sales lifecycle, from prospecting to closing. β—‹ Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and objection-handling skills. β—‹ Ability to understand complex product/service offerings and articulate their value proposition clearly. β—‹ Sound business judgment and commercial awareness. ● Customer Relationship Skills: β—‹ Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills. β—‹ Empathy and a customer-centric approach. β—‹ Proven ability to resolve customer issues effectively and maintain high levels of satisfaction. ● Communication: β—‹ Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including presentation abilities. β—‹ Active listening skills to uncover client needs and opportunities. ● Technical Proficiency: β—‹ Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho CRM). β—‹ Strong command of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). β—‹ Familiarity with sales engagement tools (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, sales automation platforms) is a plus. ● Personal Attributes: β—‹ Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently. β—‹ Resilient and persistent, with a positive attitude. β—‹ Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. β—‹ Collaborative team player. β—‹ Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events. Physical Demands: ● Primarily office-based with regular travel required for client visits and industry events. ● Ability to use a computer for extended periods.
