Sales Representative/Sales Executive/Sales officer FMCG (Mumbai General Trade,

Location

Mumbai Assigned beat (Western suburb/ Central / Harbour / South Mumbai)

Reporting To

Area Sales Manager /General Manager.

Job Purpose

To drive secondary sales by collecting orders in Mumbai by directly servicing retail outlets, A-class outlets, super markets, kirana stores, ensuring strong distribution, high visibility, and achievement of monthly sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

1 Sales & Market Execution

• Visit

  30–40 retail outlets per day

  as per beat plan
• Take orders from kirana stores, supermarkets, bakeries, and wholesalers etc.,
• Achieve

  monthly sales targets

  and focus SKU targets
• Push schemes, combos, and new launches

2 Beat Planning & Outlet Coverage

• Follow

  pre-approved Mumbai beat plan

  (lane-wise coverage)
• Ensure

  100% outlet coverage

  in assigned wards/areas
• Identify and onboard new outlets in high-footfall areas

3 Visibility & Merchandising (Critical in Mumbai)

• Ensure

  eye-level shelf placement

  in congested kirana stores
• Improve frontage visibility in small shops
• Place danglers, strips, posters where allowed
• Monitor expiry and rotate stock (FIFO)

4 Distributor & Supply Coordination

• Coordinate with distributor for

  same-day / next-day delivery

• Ensure proper billing and scheme application
• Handle short supply, returns, and damages

5 Market Intelligence

• Track competitor brands, pricing, pack sizes, and schemes
• Report modern trade / local brand activity
• Share feedback on consumer demand trends

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• 30–40 productive calls/day
• Monthly value & volume achievement
• New outlets added per month
• Visibility compliance (%)
• Collection efficiency
• Zero expiry at retail

Candidate Profile

Qualification

• Minimum 10th / 12th pass
• Graduate preferred sales and marketing, commerce etc.,

Experience

• 1–4 years FMCG GT experience in Mumbai preferred

Skills

• Strong local language (Marathi , Hindi, Gujrati).
• Negotiation with kirana /super markets owners
• Smartphone reporting (order booking apps / WhatsApp) and Field Assist Software interaction needed.
• Time management in traffic-heavy areas

Mandatory

• Familiarity with Mumbai local areas

Compensation ( Indicative Based Targets will be set)

• Basic Fees:

  13,000 – 20,000 / month(based on experience & Basic min. agreed performance secondary sales done)

• Daily Allowance:

  150 – 200 per day(based on category)

• Incentives:

  3,000 – 5,000 / month (Based on Targets achieving category)
• Fuel reimbursement/Train fare / mobile allowance (as applicable)
