Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and target-driven Sales Executive to drive and expand our packaged drinking water business in the Kozhikode (Calicut) region. The candidate will be responsible for distributor management, market development, sales target achievement, and retail expansion in urban and semi-rural pockets of the region.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Distribution:

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for the assigned territory.
  • Drive primary and secondary sales through efficient distributor and retail networks.
  • Expand retail footprint by onboarding new outlets like kirana stores, general trade shops, and mini-markets.

Market Expansion & Visibility:

  • Penetrate semi-urban and rural markets in and around Kozhikode.
  • Ensure product visibility, stock availability, and planogram compliance in retail outlets.
  • Execute trade promotions, distributor schemes, and market activation campaigns.

Channel Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, stockists, and retailers.
  • Ensure timely order booking, delivery coordination, and inventory management.
  • Support distributors in scheme rollouts, promotions, and business growth.

Market Intelligence:

  • Track and report competitor activities, pricing strategies, and new product launches.
  • Share insights on local market dynamics, seasonal trends, and consumer preferences.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager for strategic planning and forecasting.

Collections & Reporting:

  • Ensure timely collection of payments from trade partners.
  • Maintain updated records of sales, stock levels, collections, and outlet coverage.
  • Provide daily/weekly/monthly sales reports and field feedback.

Customer Engagement:

  • Organize product sampling, awareness programs, and consumer engagement drives.
  • Address and resolve retailer concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Implement retailer loyalty and retention initiatives to boost long-term partnerships.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum: Graduate preferred.
  • 7 - 10 years of experience in FMCG / Beverages / Packaged Drinking Water sales (General Trade).
  • Prior experience in Kerala's GT market, especially in or around Kozhikode, is preferred.
