A Field Sales Engineer primarily bridges the gap between technical expertise and sales, working to understand customer needs, propose tailored solutions, and drive revenue. Their responsibilities include building and maintaining customer relationships, conducting technical presentations and product demonstrations, collaborating with sales and engineering teams, and providing post-sales support . They also play a crucial role in identifying new business opportunities and staying updated on industry trends . Role & responsibilities Technical Expertise and Solution Selling: A Field Sales Engineer leverages their technical knowledge to understand customer requirements and propose customized solutions using the company's products or services. Relationship Building: They build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, acting as a trusted advisor. Sales Support: They actively participate in the sales process, providing technical guidance to the sales team, conducting product demonstrations, and assisting with contract negotiations. Collaboration: They work closely with the sales and engineering teams, acting as a bridge between the two to ensure customer needs are met and technical solutions are effectively communicated. Post-Sales Support: They provide ongoing technical assistance to customers after a sale, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying opportunities for further business. Market Analysis and Business Development: They conduct market research, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to sales strategies. Product Knowledge and Training: They maintain a deep understanding of the company's products and services, and they may also be involved in training other members of the sales team.
