Role & responsibilities Technical Expertise and Solution Selling: A Field Sales Engineer leverages their technical knowledge to understand customer requirements and propose customized solutions using the company's products or services. Relationship Building: They build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, acting as a trusted advisor. Sales Support: They actively participate in the sales process, providing technical guidance to the sales team, conducting product demonstrations, and assisting with contract negotiations. Collaboration: They work closely with the sales and engineering teams, acting as a bridge between the two to ensure customer needs are met and technical solutions are effectively communicated. Post-Sales Support: They provide ongoing technical assistance to customers after a sale, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying opportunities for further business. Market Analysis and Business Development: They conduct market research, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to sales strategies. Product Knowledge and Training: They maintain a deep understanding of the company's products and services, and they may also be involved in training other members of the sales team. Communication and Presentation Skills: They need strong communication skills to effectively explain complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
