Sales coordinator
Position Overview: The Sales coordinator is responsible for preparing competitive and technically accurate quotations for international customers. This role bridges customer requirements and internal capabilitiesa blend of interpretation of RFQs, cost analysis, supplier engagement, and close collaboration with Sales, Export Operations, Finance, and Production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quotation Preparation & Technical Assessment
Interpret customer RFQs, drawings, specifications, or blueprints to prepare accurate, competitive quotation packages for steel pipes and tubes. Determine optimal product mix, pricing strategy, and delivery terms aligned with customer requirements and company margins.
2. Supplier Coordination & Costing
Source supplier quotes for raw materials, components or services; negotiate cost, minimum order quantities (MOQ), lead-times, and payment terms. Build and maintain cost models and quotation templates to support profit-driven pricing decisions.
3. Cross Functional Collaboration
Liaise with Sales, Export Operations, Production, Finance, and Quality teams to verify product specs, availability, and delivery timelines. Participate in clarifications or negotiation sessions with clients alongside sales teams.
4. Documentation, Reporting & Database Management
Archive all quotes, cost assumptions, historical pricing, and customer interactions in a centralized quotation database.
Generate periodic reports on quote status, win/loss analysis, margin trends, and reasons for lost quotes.
5. Quality & Continuous Improvement
Conduct thorough review of prepared quotations to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with company policies. Propose improvementsbetter templates, streamlined RFQ processes, or pricing strategiesto enhance throughput and accuracy
