Sales Associate

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team. As a Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. You will be responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, managing inventory, and maintaining an organized sales floor. Your ability to communicate effectively and showcase products will contribute to the overall success of our store.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
• Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits to customers
• Upsell additional products based on customer interests and needs
• Maintain visual merchandising standards to create an appealing shopping environment
• Stock shelves and organize inventory to ensure product availability
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
• Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels and sales reports
• Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance and support

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales is preferred, particularly in a grocery store environment
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic math skills for accurate transactions
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with customers effectively
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances customer interaction
• Experience with merchandising techniques to enhance product visibility is a plus
• Knowledge of phone etiquette for effective communication with customers over the phone
