Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Officer to join our team and oversee safety operations on construction sites. In this role, you will ensure all safety procedures are followed, reduce risks, and maintain a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors on-site. You will play a key role in promoting a safety-first culture at Ferromonk Steel Structures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety Monitoring & Enforcement:

Monitor and enforce compliance with all site safety procedures and regulations to ensure the safety of all personnel involved in the PEB construction process.

• Risk Assessment & Mitigation:

Conduct regular site safety audits and risk assessments, identifying hazards and implementing corrective measures to reduce risks.

• Training & Awareness:

Lead safety orientation sessions for new employees and subcontractors. Provide ongoing safety training and updates to ensure everyone on-site is well-informed of safety standards and practices.

• Incident Management:

Promptly report, investigate, and document any accidents, incidents, or near-misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and lessons learned are shared.

• Compliance with Safety Standards:

Ensure strict adherence to all OSHA, local, and federal safety regulations, as well as industry standards specific to PEB construction.

• Emergency Response Planning:

Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including fire drills, medical emergencies, and evacuations. Ensure the site is prepared for emergencies at all times.

• PPE & Equipment Management:

Ensure the availability, proper usage, and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety tools for all site workers.

• Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate and detailed records of safety inspections, safety training, incident reports, and compliance audits. Generate safety reports for management as needed.

• Collaboration with Site Management:

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other teams to ensure safety measures are integrated into the planning and execution of PEB projects.

Qualifications:

• Educational Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field preferred.
• Certifications:
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification (Required)
• First Aid & CPR Certification (Preferred)
• NEBOSH or similar safety certifications (Preferred)
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Site Safety Officer in the construction industry, preferably with exposure to Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) or steel structure projects.
• Skills & Competencies:
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, construction safety standards, and best practices for steel structure/PEB sites.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to enforce safety protocols effectively.
• Ability to assess risks, create solutions, and mitigate potential hazards on-site.
• Excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, and conducting site inspections.
• Capable of working in varying environmental conditions typical of construction sites.

Pay: ₹9,207.85 - ₹46,479.02 per month
