Safety Supervisor

Job Title: Safety EngineerJob Summary

The Safety Engineer is responsible for ensuring workplace safety, implementing safety policies, identifying hazards, and creating a safe working environment across plant operations and project sites. The role focuses on risk assessment, incident prevention, statutory compliance, safety audits, and employee safety awareness.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections and site safety audits.
• Identify hazardous practices and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with Factories Act, OSHA, and other statutory norms.
• Investigate incidents, accidents and near-miss cases and prepare reports.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety drills, and employee safety training.
• Monitor usage and availability of PPE and safety equipment.
• Coordinate with operations & maintenance teams on safe work procedures.
• Prepare safety documents such as:
• Work permits
• SOPs & Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
• Incident reports
• Support implementation of fire safety & emergency response plans.
• Maintain safety records, audit reports, and compliance documentation.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil preferred)
• Certification in Industrial Safety / Fire & Safety preferred
• Experience in Manufacturing / Plant / Construction / Infrastructure sector

Pay: ₹13,901.78 - ₹42,791.14 per month
