Position:

Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive

  safety plans, policies, and procedures

  for the site.
• Conduct regular

  safety inspections, risk assessments, and internal audits

  to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety norms.

• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses

  , identifying root causes and implementing preventive and corrective measures.
• Monitor compliance with all applicable

  safety regulations, statutory requirements, and company HSE standards

  .
• Provide

  training and awareness programs

  to employees and contractors on safety practices, emergency response, and safe work procedures.
• Maintain

  accurate safety records and documentation

  , including inspection reports, incident logs, and safety meeting minutes.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding and implementation capability of

  ISO 45001:2018

  standards.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with other

  project sites

  to align safety standards and practices.
• Prepare and submit

  monthly HSE MIS reports

  to clients and the head office within defined timelines.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure all safety-related requirements are met.
• Promote a strong

  safety culture

  within the site workforce, ensuring adherence to company values and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech

  in Engineering with

  ADIS (Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety)

  Mandatory.

• 8 to 12 years

  of proven experience as a

  Site Safety Officer

  , preferably in the

  construction or water & wastewater treatment

  industry.
• Strong knowledge of

  construction safety practices

  , site hazard identification, and control measures.
• Excellent knowledge of

  HSE regulations, audits, documentation, and reporting

  .
• Proficient in

  incident investigation and root cause analysis

  .
• Good communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to coordinate with clients and project teams.
• Ability to

  work independently

  and as part of a team in a dynamic project environment.
