Safety Officer

Requirements

• Work experience in Factory / Manufacturing as a Safety officer, EHS Officer, or a similar role is a must.
• Proficiency to Read EHS Related Documents like SWMS, JSA, HIRA etc.
• Knowledge of Safety Standard and procedure for operational activities.
• Knowledge about Legal Compliance of Plant related to safety
• Knowledge about development of SoP related to Safety.
• Exposure of safety aspect related with Working at height / Pressure Vessels / under High Temperature zone, etc. Hazardous activity like Gas safety.
• Knowledge on Accident Incident Investigation process , Reporting protocol etc
• Knowledge of ISO:450001 Documentation. Safety inspection / Audits.
• Ability to work independently or work in a team with Worker Management Skills.
• Good Verbal & Written Communication Skill English & vernacular Proficiency to Work with MS Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint, Team, Outlook) , SAP etc.
• Knowledge about data analysis of safety observations.
• Knowledge about DuPont criteria safety risk analysis.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Adhering to EHS Standards.
• SOP, SWMS, JSA & HIRA etc. for activities related to Operational activity.
• Identifying the Risks and Hazards Related to various activities
• Identifying Resources like PPEs, Equipment & tools etc.
• Supervising operational activities for commencing with Environment, Health & Safety norms.
• Conducting Regular Site Audit for Safety points and circulate Observations.
• Ensuring statutory compliance related to EHS.
• Managing Daily activities at site related to EHS.
• Carry out the Various Training and Developments like Induction trainings, Toolbox Talks, Mass Meetings, Job specific training etc.
• Managing appointed Vendors, Sub-contractors, workers at site.
• Working Collaboration with all stake holders like employees, venders, Govt. Agency ,Client, Consultant etc.
• Maintaining Site Inventory Safety Gears and PPEs and Maintain the Logbooks and registers.
• Providing Recommendation on improving safety culture.
• Coming up with Technical Solution for problems arising at site.
• Creating and Providing Site Reports, EHS Statistics, MIS etc.
• Conducting mock drills and maintaining reports
• Conducting safety committee / DIC meeting and maintaining records.
