Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Site Safety Management

Conduct daily safety inspections across construction sites to identify hazards and unsafe practices.
Monitor PPE compliance for workers, contractors, and visitors.
Ensure safety signage, barricading, and emergency equipment are in place and functional.

2. Regulatory Compliance

Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and national safety regulations.
Maintain updated knowledge of labour safety laws, fire safety norms, and environmental guidelines.
Support in obtaining statutory clearances related to EHS.

3. Incident & Risk Management

Record, investigate, and report all incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions.
Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Carry out risk assessments (HIRA/JSA) for high-risk activities like working at height, electrical work, scaffolding, and heavy machinery operations.

4. Training & Awareness

Conduct toolbox talks, safety induction programs, and refresher training for workers.
Promote safety culture through campaigns, audits, and awareness drives.
Train site teams on emergency preparedness, first-aid, and fire response.

5. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain safety records, audit reports, incident logs, and compliance checklists.
Prepare weekly and monthly EHS reports for management review.
Engage with contractors to ensure EHS compliance documentation is maintained.

6. Emergency Preparedness

Facilitate mock drills for fire, electrical hazard, and evacuation scenarios.
Ensure emergency response plans (ERP) are updated and understood by site personnel.
