Job description:

Safety Officers

Responsibilities:

• Execute approved safety plans and programs
• Monitor employee compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct HSE induction for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Organize and assist in safety drills and emergency response exercises.
• Identify hazardous conditions and recommend control measures (engineering, administrative, PPE).
• Conduct periodic safety assessments and inspections.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses.
• Communicate findings and support corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain accurate records of safety activities and incidents.
• Prepare periodic reports to identify safety trends and needs.
• Liaise with internal teams and external agencies to ensure safety compliance.
• Provide data and support for compensation claims related to workplace injuries.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Health, Safety, and Environmental Management or Diploma/PG Diploma in Industrial Safety
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the cement or manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and cement manufacturing processes.
• Ability to analyze incidents and propose effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Team-oriented with a high sense of responsibility and accountability
