Roles & Responsibilities Safety Professional (FGD Stage Works | Power Plant)

• Deployment and supervision of safety personnel to ensure effective implementation of site HSE management systems during FGD installation and commissioning works.
• Identification of safety gaps in ongoing FGD activities including absorber erection, ducting, chimney modification, slurry preparation systems, and electrical & instrumentation works.
• Conducting detailed

  Job Safety Analysis (JSA)

  Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA)

  for high-risk activities such as lifting operations, work at height, hot work, confined space entry, and shutdown integration works.
• Monitoring day-to-day site activities to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, project HSE plans, and client safety standards.
• Carrying out routine and special safety inspections of work areas, scaffolding, lifting tools & tackles, heavy equipment, and temporary electrical systems.
• Ensuring implementation of

  Permit-to-Work (PTW)

  systems for critical activities including hot work, confined space entry, height work, and electrical isolation.
• Conducting safety induction, toolbox talks, and task-specific training for contractors, supervisors, and workmen involved in FGD execution.
• Coordinating with EPC contractors, client safety teams, and PMC for closure of safety observations and non-conformances.
• Investigating near misses, unsafe acts/conditions, and incidents; preparing incident reports and recommending corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitoring use of PPE and enforcing safe work practices across all FGD-related construction and shutdown interfaces.
• Maintaining safety documentation including daily safety reports, inspection checklists, training records, PTW logs, and HSE performance reports.
• Supporting emergency preparedness activities such as mock drills, fire safety arrangements, and emergency response coordination during FGD works.
