Job Description

Position Title:

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of fire safety systems across the facility.
Conduct in-depth risk assessments, safety audits, and fire hazard evaluations.
Ensure 100% compliance with fire safety norms, Factory Act, NBC, and other statutory guidelines.
Supervise installation, testing, and maintenance of fire alarms, extinguishers, hydrants, sprinklers, and emergency lighting systems.
Design and conduct regular fire drills, mock evacuations, and emergency response trainings.
Investigate fire incidents, near misses, and accidents; prepare reports and enforce corrective actions.
Develop and update SOPs for fire prevention, firefighting, and emergency evacuation.
Liaise with government agencies, fire departments, and safety auditors as required.
Guide junior safety officers and support cross-functional safety committees.
Promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance throughout the organization.

Key Skills for Senior Fire and Safety Officer (7+ Years Experience)

Expertise in fire safety systems (hydrants, sprinklers, alarms, suppression systems)
Advanced risk analysis and safety audit capabilities
In-depth knowledge of Factory Act, NBC, OSHA, and fire safety regulations
Incident investigation and root cause analysis
Strong leadership in emergency preparedness and response planning
Ability to design and deliver fire safety training modules
Strong documentation and reporting skills
High attention to detail and proactive hazard control
Team leadership and mentoring of junior staff
