Safety Officer

Industry: Heavy Fabrication (Crane & Material Handling Equipment)
Location: Bhosari, Pune
Experience Required: Minimum 1 Year
Qualification: MSW / HR–Safety / Industrial Safety Certified (preferred)

About the Role

We are hiring a Safety Officer to ensure complete workplace safety compliance within a heavy fabrication and crane-manufacturing environment. The role involves continuous monitoring of workers, identifying unsafe practices, enforcing safety rules, and maintaining legal documentation as per safety norms.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and observe shopfloor activities to ensure safe working practices.
• Maintain safety compliance for fabrication, welding, cutting, and crane assembly areas.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and report unsafe conditions.
• Ensure all workers use PPE properly (helmets, gloves, harness, welding mask, etc.).
• Prepare and maintain safety documentation as per legal requirements.
• Support legal compliance for factories involved in heavy machinery and crane manufacturing.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness training.
• Assist in accident/near-miss investigation and corrective action planning.
• Coordinate with supervisors to implement safety rules on the shopfloor.

Skills Needed

• Knowledge of industrial safety practices
• Understanding of crane, fabrication & welding hazards
• Strong observation, reporting and monitoring ability
• Basic legal knowledge related to factory safety, PPE, and HSE documentation
• Good communication & awareness-training ability
