ROR Engineer

Role: Commerce Backend Senior Software Engineer

Location : Pune

• Design, develop, and maintain backend payment solutions using

  Ruby on Rails

• Integrate with third-party providers like

  Stripe

  and

  Sovos

• Perform root cause analysis and resolve system errors using tools like

  Datadog

• Write and optimize complex

  SQL queries

  for data analysis and performance
• Automate manual investigation tasks to improve engineering efficiency
• Build and maintain observability and alerting systems
• Lead

  test-driven development

  using

  RSpec

• Collaborate with PMs and engineers to translate requirements into scalable solutions
• Contribute to code reviews and documentation

• 5+ years of experience with

  Ruby on Rails

• Strong SQL skills and experience with

  Snowflake

• Proven debugging and root cause analysis expertise
• Experience with observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, etc.)
• Strong testing practices with

  RSpec

• Excellent communication and documentation skills

• Experience in

  e-commerce, billing, invoicing, or fintech

• Ability to design data models for downstream teams (e.g., accounting, data engineering)
• Familiarity with cloud-based architectures and modern software design
