Robotics QA Engineer

Role Overview: You will be responsible for designing and implementing automated test suites for ROS-based industrial robotic systems using Python and C++. Your role will involve creating comprehensive testing strategies, maintaining test automation frameworks, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and optimizing test execution for development speed and production performance. Key Responsibilities: - Develop automated test suites using Python for rapid prototyping and C++ for high-performance testing - Create and maintain test automation frameworks leveraging rostest with unittest (Python) and gtest (C++) - Implement CI/CD pipelines for robotics applications - Conduct thorough testing of industrial robot applications including pick-and-place, welding, painting, assembly, and material handling operations - Validate robot safety systems, emergency stops, and fail-safe mechanisms - Test robot performance under various environmental conditions and operational scenarios - Implement testing protocols using the complete ROS testing stack - Design and execute tests in simulation environments such as Gazebo, Isaac Sim, and Unity - Establish quality metrics and KPIs for robotic system reliability - Generate comprehensive test reports and documentation - Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve defects - Maintain test case libraries and ensure test coverage across all system components Qualification Required: - 3+ years of experience in robotics testing or quality assurance - Proficiency in ROS/ROS2 with hands-on experience in industrial robotics applications - Strong programming skills in Python and C++ - Experience with MoveIt2 for motion planning and Navigation2 for autonomous navigation - Proficiency with RViz for visualization and debugging - Knowledge of simulation tools like Gazebo, Unity, and NVIDIA Isaac Sim - Familiarity with ROS-Industrial packages and industrial robot programming - Experience with test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and testing methodologies - Understanding of industrial automation processes, safety standards, and PLC integration - Proficiency in version control systems, build systems, containerization technologies, and cloud platforms for testing Please note that the above job description is for a full-time position with an in-person work location.,
