About the Role

Robotics Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, program, and integrate robotic systems and automation solutions for production or process optimization.
  
• Develop control algorithms and interfaces for robots, PLCs, and sensors.
  
• Work with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams to design end-to-end automation systems.
  
• Conduct feasibility studies and proof-of-concept (POC) projects for new robotic applications.
  
• Configure and program industrial robots (e.g., ABB, FANUC, KUKA, UR, Yaskawa).
  
• Develop and maintain simulation models for robotic cells using tools such as RoboDK, Process Simulate, or MATLAB.
  
• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and maintenance of robotic systems.
  
• Implement safety standards and ensure compliance with automation and robotics regulations (ISO, OSHA, CE, etc.).
  
• Document designs, code, test cases, and technical specifications.
  
• Train and support production teams on new automation systems.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in

  Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science

  .
• 3–8 years of hands-on experience in

  robotics system design and automation

  .
• Proficiency in robot programming (e.g., RAPID, KRL, VAL3, or URScript).
  
• Experience with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff).
  
• Strong understanding of control systems, motion planning, and industrial communication protocols (EtherCAT, Modbus, Profibus, OPC UA).
  
• Knowledge of CAD tools and mechanical system integration.
  
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, C++, or C#) for control and data processing.
  
• Familiarity with computer vision systems, sensors, and AI-based automation.
  
• Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System) is a plus.
  

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of

  Industry 4.0

  , IIoT, and smart factory technologies.
• Experience with simulation tools (Gazebo, V-REP, RoboDK).
  
• Understanding of RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism) for process automation (if applicable).
  
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
