Risk Management (Contracts) Manager

You will be working at KPMG in India, a professional services firm affiliated with KPMG International Limited. Established in India in August 1993, KPMG has offices across multiple cities in India. Your role will involve providing rapid, performance-based, industry-focused, and technology-enabled services to national and international clients across various sectors. As a qualified legal professional with post-qualification experience, you are expected to have considerable experience as in-house counsel, preferably for the Indian subsidiary of a multinational company or an Indian multinational. Your responsibilities will include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating client/third party contracts, understanding and assessing risk management policies, working independently to deliver high-quality work, multitasking, meeting deadlines, handling pressure, and exercising judgment with confidential information. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, business teams, and senior management to close complex contractual issues, provide legal clarifications, and negotiate with clients/third parties. Your role will involve gaining a deep understanding of contractual/legal concepts, working within the legal and risk framework of the firm, escalating critical matters internally, and ensuring timely closure of contracts/agreements. To excel in this role, you must be proficient in Microsoft Office tools, familiar with legal and other productive technology tools, possess strong executive presence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop relationships. Being self-motivated, able to work autonomously, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and having a keen sense of responsibility are essential. Additionally, having 6+ years of relevant experience, an LLB/LLM qualification, and a track record of dependability will be beneficial for this position at KPMG in India.,
