Retail Store Assistant

Role Overview: You will be responsible for greeting and assisting customers with inquiries, product location, or shopping assistance. Additionally, you will stock shelves, displays, and coolers with fresh, neatly arranged products while ensuring shelves are clean, well-organized, and labeled correctly. It will be your duty to monitor product freshness and rotate stock to follow FIFO (First In, First Out) practices. When needed, you will assist with unloading deliveries and organizing backroom inventory. Furthermore, maintaining store cleanliness by tidying shelves, sweeping floors, and cleaning spills promptly is crucial. Operate store equipment such as trolleys, pallet jacks, and barcode scanners if trained. During busy periods, you will support the cashier team by bagging groceries or assisting at checkout. It is important to report low stock levels, damages, or customer issues to the supervisor or manager and follow all health, safety, and food handling procedures.
