Job Summary:

The Hospital cum Retail Pharmacy Head will oversee and manage the overall functioning of the hospital pharmacy and outstation retail pharmacy outlets. The role involves ensuring smooth pharmacy operations, maintaining regulatory compliance, optimizing inventory, driving profitability, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and customer service across all pharmacy units.

Key Responsibilities:

*Hospital Pharmacy Management:

*Supervise and manage daily hospital pharmacy operations, including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency pharmacy services.

*Ensure proper storage, dispensing, and documentation of all medicines in compliance with NABH, JCI, and Drug Control regulations.

*Coordinate with consultants, nurses, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate medicine supply.

*Monitor prescription patterns and ensure formulary adherence.

Retail / Outstation Store Management:

*Oversee operations of all outstation and retail pharmacy stores under the hospital network.

*Drive sales performance, manage inventory, and ensure profitability at each outlet.

*Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all pharmacy units.

*Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance, stock accuracy, and proper documentation.

Inventory & Procurement:

*Plan and manage procurement, storage, and distribution of drugs and consumables efficiently.

*Optimize inventory levels to minimize expiries and shortages.

*Negotiate with vendors for competitive pricing and ensure quality standards.

Regulatory & Compliance:

*Ensure adherence to all statutory regulations and licenses under the Drugs & Cosmetics Act.

*Maintain all required documentation and ensure timely renewal of licenses.

*Ensure proper handling and disposal of expired and damaged drugs as per norms.

Team Management & Training:

*Lead, train, and motivate pharmacists and support staff across hospital and retail outlets.

*Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure continuous professional development.

Reporting & Analytics:

*Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, profitability, and inventory turnover.

*Prepare monthly MIS reports and submit to management.
