DMART : Job opportunity in Store Planning team for Graduate Draughtsman | Thane Role & responsibilities: Prepare designs as per proposed changes to layouts for fixtures for new and existing stores, within timelines and as per set standards. Verify proposed change of store layout by visiting the store for a better understanding and ensure the layout vs Physicals is in sync. Co-ordination with Execution & Ops to design the proposed changes in the layout (Racks & Checkouts) Proficiency in understanding AutoCAD software Timely completion of rack erection and check outs at new stores. Accurate communication & co-ordination with all stakeholders for timely completion of assigned tasks as per set standards. Maintain good working relationships with all stakeholders (Coordination with NSO, Execution Officers, vendors, etc.) Maintain data for all unused racks and checkouts (component wise) for all regions and provide timely updates to seniors at the time of BOQ planning. Visit new projects for rack erection. Monitor the rack & checkout execution as per approved layout. Correct and on time handover of shelving & checkout to NSO team. Any shortfalls/damages at the time of erection with regards to shelving & checkouts to be noted in installation report with remarks & addressed to Seniors for the next course of action. Coordinate with Execution Head for fixture mapping and ensure the floor asset Qty's against each type gets approved by Execution head. All mapped fixtures for operational and upcoming projects details to be shared with VM Mgr's. Accurately share details of mapped fixtures with the VM department. Preferred candidate profile: Experience around 4yrs to 10yrs. Any Graduate. Good understanding of fixtures and AutoCad rack layouts. Should be comfortable for traveling as there will be site visits. Lead negotiations in finalizing terms and pricing for RFPs and other Key Account deals, follow-up on customer journey and see projects to completion. Candidate would be responsible to lead after sales care for key account deals follow up with help and information to secure long-term business relationships and excellent customer experience. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution Oversee the complete lifecycle of furniture projects from design finalization to manufacturing and site installation. Break down client briefs into manufacturing, material, and manpower plans. Prepare and manage project schedules, execution timelines, and resource allocation. Manufacturing Coordination Coordinate with the factory team for production scheduling, quality assurance, and dispatch planning. Ensure raw material procurement and inventory are aligned with project needs. Approve production drawings, prototypes, and QC checklists before execution. Site Supervision & Installation Plan and supervise furniture delivery and installation at retail andial fit-out sites. Monitor site progress and coordinate with contractors and civil teams as needed. Resolve on-site technical issues and ensure compliance with design intent. Client & Stakeholder Management Act as the primary point of contact for clients and consultants for all project-related communications. Attend client meetings, provide updates, and ensure alignment with expectations. Handle approvals, variations, and closure documentation. Reporting & Documentation Maintain project trackers, update weekly progress reports, and flag delays or risks. Track and manage project costs, budgets, and billing milestones. Ensure all statutory and safety compliances are met on-site. Key Skills & Competencies Strong project management and multitasking ability. Expertise in modular and custom furniture manufacturing processes. Ability to read AutoCAD drawings and design schematics. Team leadership and site coordination skills. Working knowledge of MS Project, Excel, and project tracking tools. Good verbal and written communication in English & Hindi. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Interior Design / Civil Engineering / Architecture / Industrial Design / Production. PMP or equivalent project management certification (preferred but not mandatory). Experience Minimum 8 to 12 years of experience in handling retail & commercial furniture/interior projects. At least 3 years in a leadership or project head capacity, preferably in a fitout + furniture firm.
