We are seeking a proactive and service-driven highway retreat manager to lead and manage the operations of our highway motel, which features 6 rooms, an in-house restaurant, and a banquet hall suitable for small events and weddings. The ideal candidate will focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences, managing day-to-day operations, coordinating weddings and functions, and driving sales and profitability through effective planning and local outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations & Guest Services
Supervise front office, housekeeping, restaurant, and banquet teams.
Ensure top-tier guest service, quick check-ins/outs, and comfortable stays.
Handle complaints and feedback efficiently and professionally.
2. Staff Management
Recruit, train, and supervise staff across departments.
Maintain staff schedules and performance standards.
Conduct regular briefings to align teams with service goals.
3. Weddings & Events
Manage end-to-end wedding inquiries, bookings, and execution.
Coordinate with decorators, caterers, and vendors as per client requirements.
Ensure seamless hosting of events in the banquet area, from setup to closure.
Promote the motel as a venue for small weddings, pre-wedding functions, and celebrations.
4. Sales & Revenue Maximization
Drive occupancy and banquet bookings through local partnerships and promotions.
Build corporate and travel agent relationships to increase business.
Upsell restaurant services, room upgrades, and event packages.
Monitor competitors and implement dynamic pricing strategies.
5. Restaurant & Banquet Oversight
Oversee restaurant operations to maintain food quality, hygiene, and customer satisfaction.
Supervise banquet setups and ensure timely and smooth service during events.
6. Financial & Inventory Control
Manage budgets, billing, and daily cash/expense reports.
Ensure accurate inventory and stock control for F&B and housekeeping.
Work to reduce wastage and improve cost efficiency.
7. Property Maintenance & Safety
Ensure regular maintenance of rooms, kitchen, banquet area, and outdoor spaces.
Enforce hygiene, cleanliness, fire safety, and security protocols.
Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in Hotel or Hospitality Management.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in small hotel/event property.
Proven ability to manage weddings and maximize sales.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Basic knowledge of billing software and inventory systems.
