Position: Resident Medical Officer (RMO) – Gynecology & Obstetrics
Department: Gynecology
Reporting To: Consultant Gynecologist / HOD
Employment Type: Full-time / Shift Duty
Location: Almas hospital

Role Summary

The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) in the Gynecology & Obstetrics Department is responsible for providing continuous medical care to obstetric and gynecological patients, handling emergencies, assisting consultants in clinical and surgical care, and ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate patient management in accordance with hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage gynecology and obstetric patients.
  • Handle obstetric and gynecological emergencies and initiate timely interventions.
  • Conduct daily ward rounds and ensure proper patient monitoring.
  • Assist consultants during normal and operative deliveries, surgeries, and procedures.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
  • Coordinate with nursing staff and other departments to ensure continuity of care.
  • Communicate treatment plans and updates to patients and attendants.
  • Follow infection control, patient safety, and quality protocols.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, audits, and training programs.

Qualifications & Experience

  • MBBS from a recognized institution.
  • Valid State/Medical Council Registration.
  • Experience in Obstetrics & Gynecology preferred; fresh MBBS may be considered.

Skills & Competencies

  • Sound clinical judgment and emergency-handling skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Team-oriented and patient-focused approach.
  • Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and emergencies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
