Resident Engineer

As a Resident Engineer at OPTEL, you will be responsible for hands-on technical work involving the installation and troubleshooting of electronics, automated packaging, and manufacturing machinery. Your role will also include maintenance and support of electronic components and mechanical systems, production line mechanics, line electricians, packaging machinery engineers, and general field technician responsibilities for product installation, support, and repairs. Key Responsibilities: - Maintenance and support of electronic components or mechanical systems - Production line mechanic duties - Line electrician responsibilities - Packaging machinery engineer tasks - General field technician duties for product installation, support, and repairs - Electronic engineering tasks, including working with circuitry and troubleshooting electrical components - Drilling/mounting in various materials, wiring, terminating, and testing circuits and components - Installation of electronic-mechanical machinery or optics equipment - Interpretation of schematic diagrams, understanding electrical symbols and terminology, calculation of voltage and circuit flow - Responsible and confident installation of sensitive electronic hardware, software, and OEM equipment - Familiarity with IT networking, networking hardware, IP processes/connectivity, networking communications, IP addressing, identifying domains, routers, cables, switches, etc. - Familiarity with software programming - Training operators on Optel lines Qualifications Required: - Diploma or certificate(s) from a recognized school, university, or technical program related to applied science, electronics, mechanical, electro-mechanical engineering, or similar fields - Bachelors, Diploma/Certificate in Electronic Engineering, Electronics, or related field is a plus - Technician level position - Language Requirements: Clear proficiency in speaking and writing English/Hindi - Clear communication skills and professional presentation - Travel Requirements: Frequent and extended travel is expected If you are passionate about making a positive impact on the world and thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment, OPTEL is the right place for you to grow and contribute to sustainable living.
