Research Engineer

ARAI, Pune is a premier Automotive Research Institute, with the Ministry of Heavy Industries, involved in R&D, Homologation, Testing & Certification, Calibration & Skill Development services to Automotive and Allied industries globally, We are looking for the following position for our Noise Vibration and Harshness Laboratory (NVH):

Designation: Research Engineer (NVH Testing) (01 ARAI Contract) Location: Pune

Work Experience: 1-3 Years Candidates should have completed full time Post-graduation (ME or MTech)/Degree (BE or BTech)/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Automobile / Production) with good track record of academic career with relevant experience of 1-3 years and good communication skills, Candidates should possess necessary skill sets mentioned in below job description, Job Description: Good Fundamental Knowledge of Vehicle and Engine NVH Hands on experience of Noise and Vibration measurement and analysis of automotive, off-road, etc, Knowledge of handling testing equipments such as microphone, accelerometer and DAQ used for NVH data acquisition, Hands on experience in noise and vibration evaluation of components, engine and vehicle, Familiar with NVH methodologies like Modal testing, ODS analysis, Waterfall/Colourmap analysis, etc, Experience of working in anechoic chamber for NVH testing of Vehicle, powertrains and components, Basic knowledge on 3D design tool like CATIA, Creo or Solidworks, Experience / Skills: Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience in NVH testing Prior experience of working in anechoic and reverberation chamber He should be able to perform NVH testing independently and analysis as per project requirement, Flexible in working hours/shift duties, Preferred Industry: Automotive OEMs/ Automotive Supplier (Tier 1 or 2)
