Job Description

We are seeking multiple talented researchers to join Fujitsus Quantum Technology R&D Internship Program. As a research intern, you will conduct original research aligned with Fujitsus strategic vision for quantum computing. This role sits at the intersection of quantum algorithms, quantum applications, quantum information theory, and quantum compilation, and integrates closely with computer engineering, software engineering, and artificial intelligence.

Your role will involve:

Conducting novel research activities in the field of quantum algorithms, quantum error correction, and/or quantum compilation
Testing novel ideas empirically using quantum simulators or real-quantum hardware as applicable
Participating in developing relevant quantum software libraries as required
Producing technical reports on the proposed approaches and its impact through detailed theoretical and numerical analysis
Presenting work and progress to other team members
Staying on top of current research literature and advancements in related areas
Participating in industry-academia collaborative research.

Required skills:

Final-year M.Tech./M.S./B.Tech./M.Sc. or pursuing Ph.D. in physics, mathematics, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
Experience in Python based quantum development frameworks
Experience in Python based machine learning frameworksTechnical courses or recognized certificate courses in Quantum Computing
Strong ability to learn new topics in a rapidly developing field
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Effective communication skills for both technical and semi-technical presentations
Ability to take ownership of work, effective documentation/organization/progress tracking ability.

Preferred qualifications:

Strong publication and/or project track-record
No parallel course-work load in the internship duration
Knowledge of quantum computing, quantum algorithms, machine learning
Experience with high-performance computing
Experience with open-source quantum simulators, Git, code review, documentation.
