Job Overview

We re looking for a talented Research and Development Specialist to join our dynamic team in Ahmedabad
In this role, you ll play a key part in designing, developing, and refining cutting-edge formulations for skincare, cosmetics, and oral care products You ll work closely with our production, quality assurance, and marketing teams to bring innovative ideas to life while upholding our core values of quality, integrity, and customer satisfaction

Key Responsibilities

Develop and test new product formulations for skincare, cosmetics, and oral care lines, ensuring they meet safety, efficacy, and regulatory standards
Conduct research on raw materials, emerging trends, and innovative ingredients to enhance product performance and appeal Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate client needs and market demands into successful product designs Perform stability, compatibility, and performance testing on prototypes and final products Maintain detailed documentation of formulations, processes, and test results for compliance and future reference Stay updated on industry regulations, trends, and advancements to keep HCP Wellness at the forefront of private label manufacturing Troubleshoot formulation challenges and recommend solutions to improve product quality or manufacturing efficiency

Qualifications

Hard Skills:

Strong knowledge of cosmetic chemistry, formulation techniques, and raw material functionality
Proficiency in laboratory equipment and testing methods (eg pH meters, viscometers, stability chambers) Familiarity with regulatory standards (eg FDA, GMP, ISO) for cosmetics and oral care products Ability to analyze data and interpret test results to drive formulation decisions Basic computer skills (MS Office, formulation software, or ERP systems)

Soft Skills:

Creative problem-solving and a passion for innovation
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with diverse teams Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and precision Adaptability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow with the company

Education/Certifications:

Bachelor s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related field (Master s degree is a plus)
Certification in cosmetic formulation or regulatory affairs (eg SCC or equivalent) is preferred but not mandatory

Preferred Experience:

2-5 years of experience in research and development, ideally within the skincare, cosmetics, or oral care manufacturing industry
Hands-on experience in formulating private label or consumer-focused personal care products Prior work in an Ahmedabad-based manufacturing setting is a bonus, but not required
