About Native:

Role Summary:

This role involves managing day-to-day lab operations, conducting tests, setting up and maintaining test rigs, and providing insights for product performance improvement. You will be actively involved in lab testing, benchmarking, and supporting compliance with BIS/NSF standards, working closely with cross-functional teams to contribute to the product development process.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and manage daily laboratory operations, including setup, calibration, and maintenance of testing equipment.
  2. Conduct water quality, performance, and durability tests for water purifiers, filters, and components.
  3. Design and assemble test setups for various R&D experiments and validation activities.
  4. Analyze test results and provide technical insights for product improvement as part of the R&D team

  5. Support benchmarking of competitor products to derive insights for innovation and enhancement.
  6. Assist in modifying components for improved performance, cost optimization, or localization.
  7. Work with electrical and electronic components such as solenoids, pumps, sensors, and control units.
  8. Support development and validation of new test methods, SOPs, and documentation as per BIS/NSF standards (e.g., IS 16240, IS 10500).
  9. Maintain accurate records of tests, observations, and analysis for reporting and compliance.
  10. Coordinate with external labs for specialized testing and validations.
  11. Ensure adherence to lab safety protocols and maintain a well-organized lab environment.
  12. Visit field sites for R&D activities if required.

Required Skills & Experience:

  1. B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Chemical Engineering OR B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related fields.
  2. 25 years of relevant experience in lab testing for water purifiers or similar appliances.
  3. Good understanding of water purification technologies (RO, UV, UF, Carbon filters).
  4. Hands-on experience with electrical/electronic components (solenoids, pumps, sensors).
  5. Familiarity with BIS/NSF standards for water quality and purifier testing.
  6. Ability to design and execute test setups for R&D evaluation.
  7. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  8. Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping.
  9. Collaborative mindset for working with cross-functional teams.
