Research And Development Chemist

As an R&D Chemist, you will be responsible for all aspects of formulation product development, including formula development, sourcing of new raw materials, sample preparation, costing, and overseeing process scale-up. You will work on multiple projects, designing experiments to support product development and stability testing independently with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities: - Develop new personal care and cosmetic products for the retail industry. - Work on existing products and engineer formulas for high-quality products such as shampoos, conditioners, facewash lotions, etc. - Perform Stability testing for products to ensure long-term performance as per industry standards. - Collaborate with the Sales team to develop products meeting customers" specific market needs and expectations. - Coordinate effectively with QC, Production, and Sales teams to increase sales, ensure quality, and maintain competitive high-quality products. - Identify new and innovative ways to improve products and processes, focusing on increasing renewable content in formulas and optimizing batch processes. - Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all staff by following and enforcing standards and procedures. Qualifications: - BSc/Master's in Chemistry, Ch. Eng. or equivalent science degree. - Minimum of 5 years of development experience in product development, formulation, innovation, or related roles, preferably in a cosmetic manufacturing environment. - Excellent technical knowledge of chemical products and raw materials, their use, and functions. - Ability to work independently, act as a project lead, organize multiple complex projects involving various departments and stakeholders internally and externally. - Proven track record of executing new products to market and improving existing products. - Continuous improvement mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, organization, and computer skills. - Must be a team player, technically competent, and flexible to work in a fast-paced environment. - Cosmetic/Personal care formulation experience is preferred.,
