Arudra Engineers Pvt Ltd, located in Chennai, is seeking to enhance its Bulk Material Handling Division (MHD), a core business vertical specializing in the design, manufacture, and installation of conveyor systems, loading/unloading solutions, storage silos, and other bulk material handling equipment for process industries. To support our expanding industrial project portfolio, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Full-Time Designer (CAD) to transform engineering concepts into accurate, high-quality designs and layouts. The ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of bulk material handling systems, proficiency in CAD software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent), and the capability to collaborate effectively with engineering, project, and fabrication teams. A strong emphasis on organization, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering designs that align with technical, safety, and quality standards are essential qualities we are looking for in our potential candidate. Roles & Responsibilities Design & Drafting - Generate detailed engineering drawings and layouts for bulk material handling equipment and systems. - Translate conceptual designs into precise CAD drawings according to project specifications. - Maintain company drawing standards, including layers, annotations, and file naming protocols. CAD Operations - Create 2D and/or 3D models for structural, mechanical, and handling components. - Revise and update drawings based on engineer, project manager, or client feedback. - Ensure dimensional accuracy and adherence to industrial standards. Project Coordination - Collaborate with engineers and project managers to comprehend technical requirements. - Provide fabrication-ready shop drawings and assembly details to manufacturing teams. - Coordinate with vendors for design clarifications and component specifications. Documentation & File Management - Organize a repository of all drawings, models, and revisions. - Prepare drawing registers, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and technical data sheets. Quality & Standards - Ensure designs adhere to safety, operational, and quality guidelines. - Apply industry best practices to enhance design efficiency and manufacturability. Qualifications - Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. - 3+ years of work experience in industrial design/CAD drafting (Bulk Material Handling experience preferred). - Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar). - Knowledge of fabrication, installation, and assembly processes for industrial equipment. - Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. - Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Role Overview We are looking for a Manager (Engineering Background) to establish and lead our Malaysia operations. The role requires industry experience in Power and Oil & Gas , strong client engagement skills, and the ability to manage both business development and project execution. This role is suitable for candidates already based in Malaysia – either local professionals or expatriates settled in the country. Key Responsibilities Set up and manage Arudra Engineers’ office in Malaysia. Develop business opportunities in the Power and Oil & Gas sectors . Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors. Oversee project execution while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and timelines. Collaborate with the India head office for technical and commercial coordination. Travel extensively across Malaysia for client meetings and project site visits. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Chemical / Civil preferred). 5–6 years of experience in Power and Oil & Gas industries. Exposure to industrial services such as coatings, maintenance, or chemical cleaning is an added advantage. Strong leadership, communication, and client-handling skills. Ability to operate independently and coordinate across teams. Must be currently living in Malaysia (local citizens or settled expatriates).
