Research Analyst

The role of a Research Analyst involves utilizing data to derive actionable insights through the identification of trends and anomalies within multivariate datasets. These insights are then leveraged to drive business enhancements, with a key emphasis on using analytical findings to craft compelling narratives. As a Research Analyst within the Equity Research / Investment Research department, reporting to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) in BKC, Mumbai, you will play a crucial role in analyzing the Indian equity markets. Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive research on companies spanning various sectors, developing intricate financial models for valuation and forecasting, and keeping abreast of macroeconomic shifts, sectoral advancements, and regulatory modifications impacting the Indian economic landscape. Moreover, you will be tasked with producing research reports, investment notes, and presentations that offer actionable recommendations, as well as providing periodic buy/sell/hold suggestions and staying updated on existing coverage. It will also be essential for you to monitor corporate activities, quarterly earnings, and managerial communications, while collaborating closely with fund managers and investment teams to assist in portfolio construction. To excel in this position, you should ideally possess an MBA (Finance), CFA, CA, or a Master's degree in Finance/Economics, coupled with at least 4-8 years of experience in equity research, investment research, or financial analysis. A sound grasp of the Indian capital markets, SEBI regulations, and listed companies is crucial, alongside proficiency in financial modeling, valuation methodologies (such as DCF and relative valuation), and Excel. Familiarity with platforms like Bloomberg, Reuters, Capital IQ, or similar databases is advantageous, as are exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. Additionally, the ability to work autonomously across multiple sectors and cultivate strong relationships with industry insiders, corporate executives, and other analysts will be key to your success in this role.,
