Research Analyst

Responsible for managing the end-to-end balance confirmation process, ensuring timely and accurate responses to auditor and customer requests. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Receipt and Validation of Balance Confirmation Requests: Receive and review balance confirmation requests from auditors and customers via Internal Tools or email requests.
2. Preliminary Validation: Conduct initial validation of requests, verifying authorized signatories, client names, customer identification numbers, and account numbers.
3. Request Processing: Process balance confirmation requests within the required 2-working-day turnaround time, ensuring all necessary information is accurate and complete.
4. Balance Retrieval: Retrieve balances from Internal Tools, which is integrated with Bank’s internal core systems, and verify accuracy.
5. Template Preparation: Prepare balance confirmation templates using client-provided formats, adding account balance details and ensuring template integrity.
6. Review and Approval: Review and approve balance confirmation letters/requests under a maker-checker process, ensuring accuracy, proper authorization, and template integrity.
7. Dispatch: Send updated confirmation Requests/PDFs to requesters via email or update responses to Internal Tools for approval.
8. Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records of all confirmation responses, including request receipt dates, account information, final dispatch confirmations, and SLA status.
9. Escalations and Tracking: Escalate and track internal dependencies, such as Business Units inputs, and document in Internal Tools.
10. Quality Control: Ensure all balance confirmation responses meet quality and accuracy standards, adhering to internal policies and procedures.
