MALABAR GOLD & DIAMONDS is seeking a diligent and skilled Electrical Technician to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of all electrical and electronic equipment within our store. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining our electrical systems, responding to maintenance requests, and contributing to energy efficiency. You will play a key part in ensuring a safe and functional environment for both our staff and customers. Key Responsibilities Obtain comprehensive knowledge of electrical circuits, switchboards, etc., in the store to operate all electrical and electronic equipment and perform their basic maintenance. Operate AC & Generator systems and take adequate measures required for their proper functioning. Initiate measures to reduce the electrical consumption of the store, such as switching off unwanted bulbs, unused machines, etc. Responsible for maintaining the Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) of all equipment in the store. Deal with supplier companies and take measures to rectify equipment in case of operational failure as soon as possible. Respond to requests for maintenance services, including replacing air filters, installing new locks, and troubleshooting smoke detectors. Provide business stakeholders with advice and guidance on maintaining electrical appliances in the store. Respond to requests from managers and provide maintenance & repair services in the MGD Store as needed. Assist in jewelry sales as and when required or as instructed by the Management. Internal Process Adhere to the standard operating procedures in the store. People Development Continuously strive for self-development by actively seeking opportunities for growth. Ensure adherence to timelines for completion of performance appraisal for self. Take overall responsibility for identification of training needs and completion of mandatory training programs/certifications for self.
