Remote US Tax Preparer

We are currently seeking a Remote Tax Preparer who is fluent in English, knowledgeable in IFRS, and has strong experience in preparing taxes. U.S. accounting and U.S. CPA firm experience are highly preferred. If you have the skills and passion to work in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual and business tax returns in compliance with U.S. tax regulations.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all tax forms and supporting documentation.
• Stay updated on changes in U.S. tax laws, IFRS, and relevant international accounting standards.
• Research complex tax issues and provide well-documented conclusions or recommendations.
• Collaborate with team members to gather necessary financial data from clients.
• Communicate tax findings and recommendations to clients in a clear, professional manner.
• Research tax notices from federal/state agencies and prepare written correspondence as needed.
• Perform thorough quality checks on all returns to identify and correct discrepancies.
• Comply with firm-wide best practices to maintain consistent, high-quality results.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience completing individual and or business tax returns
• 3+ years of U.S. accounting experience (preferred).
• 1+ year of experience at a U.S. CPA firm (preferred).
• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS; familiarity with U.S. GAAP and U.S. tax regulations.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software and Excel.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Access to high speed, reliable internet
• Able to work with overlap during US business hours
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and education.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing tax regulations.
• Proactive in continuous learning and unafraid to ask questions to ensure clarity and accuracy.

• Schedule: Flexible with required overlap during U.S. business hours (specific details can be discussed).
