Release Manager

1. Managing risks and resolving challenges that impact release scope, quality, and schedules

2. Planning release windows across projects

3. Scheduling, managing and coordinating releases across multiple applications within various portfolios across different teams and projects.

4. Constructing a release calendar for the different projects to have a centralized view of all releases.

5. Manage and mitigate risks and resolve issues regarding release quality and schedule.

6. Communicating crucial release plans and changes

7. Coordinating processes between different teams (in various locations)

8. Communicating necessary release details to business teams

9. Managing, planning, and negotiating release activities

10. Initiating and overseeing progressive release processes

11. Conducting release readiness and milestone reviews

12. Maintaining release schedules for every core service and ensuring it aligns with major vendors and other stakeholders

13. Working with Development team to ensure code merges and release branch strategies

14. Leading and coordinating checklist and deployment plan execution

15. Ensuring that releases operate as per expectations

16. Ensuring that requirements are clear across dependent project streams with an effective release plan

17. Initiating and overseeing the development of technical guides and training to Operations / Support teams

18. Managing the development of deliverables into production environments

19. Validating the release notes

20. Making improvements on a regular basis to the release process.

Additional:

• 5-7 years of experience in Release Management role
• Need to have good and clear communication skills
• Should be able to send good release communication to internal / external stakeholders
