Job Description

The Regional Sales Head will be responsible for driving business growth and sales performance across the assigned region in the broking industry. You will need to be a strong leader with in-depth knowledge of financial markets, client acquisition, and channel development to build a high-performance sales team and deliver consistent revenue growth. Your responsibilities will include achieving regional revenue targets across various products like Equity, Derivatives, Commodities, Mutual Funds, and other third-party financial products. It will be crucial to track, analyze, and drive daily/monthly sales performance metrics for profitability through pricing strategy, product mix, and client segmentation. In terms of team leadership and people development, you will be required to build, manage, and mentor a team of Area Managers, Relationship Managers, and Sales Executives. Setting clear goals and performance standards, monitoring KPIs, and ensuring regular reviews will be essential to drive a culture of high performance, ownership, and accountability within the team. Client acquisition and retention will also be a key aspect of your role. You will need to devise and implement strategies for acquiring retail and HNI clients, focusing on increasing AUM (Assets Under Management) and active client base. Ensuring high client satisfaction and reducing attrition through effective relationship management will be critical. Additionally, you will be responsible for channel development and management, including onboarding and activating sub-brokers, channel partners, and franchisees. Enhancing channel partner productivity through support, incentives, and training will be necessary to ensure consistent business contribution from all partners. Compliance and risk control are vital areas that you will oversee, ensuring that your team and partners adhere to SEBI regulations and internal compliance policies. Monitoring client transactions and reporting to mitigate operational risk, as well as supporting audits and regulatory inspections as required, will be part of your responsibilities. Your role will also involve conducting market analysis to identify opportunities and competitive threats, collaborating with marketing and product teams to drive region-specific campaigns, and representing the region in leadership meetings while contributing to strategic planning. Providing timely reports on sales performance, pipeline updates, and forecasts, using CRM tools for tracking activities, lead status, and closure ratios, and presenting insights and recommendations based on regional data analysis will also be crucial aspects of your responsibilities. Qualifications required for this role include a minimum of 12 to 15 or more years of sales experience, strong leadership and analytical skills, and knowledge of share and security market trends.
