Key responsibilities for a Regional Sales Manager :

• Sales Strategy and Planning: Developing and executing regional sales strategies, analyzing the market, setting targets, and creating budgets.
• Team Management and Development: Leading, training, and motivating a sales team, and conducting market visits to evaluate performance and opportunities.
• Distribution Network and Relationship Management: Building and maintaining a strong distribution network, managing relationships with key partners, and ensuring efficient inventory flow.
• Market Intelligence and Reporting: Gathering market information, monitoring team performance, analyzing data, and preparing sales reports.
• Promotional and Marketing Activities: Collaborating with marketing teams on product launches and promotional campaigns.
• Compliance and Ethical Practices: Ensuring adherence to company policies, pricing structures, and ethical standards.
• Financial Management: Managing the sales budget and overseeing payment collections.

Key qualifications and skills

Typical qualifications and skills sought for this role often include:

• Significant sales experience (8+ years) with managerial experience (2+ years), preferably in FMCG with packaged foods.
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an MBA being advantageous.
• A history of exceeding sales targets.
• Understanding of regional market dynamics and distribution.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency with CRM tools and MS Office.
• Analytical skills for forecasting and data-driven decisions.

• Drive to meet targets and manage priorities under pressure.
• Willingness to travel regionally.
• Knowledge of local languages may be preferred.
