Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve business objectives and revenue targets in General Trade.
Manage and expand the distributor and retail network within the assigned region.
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Sales Officers (SOs) / Area Sales Managers (ASMs) to deliver on KPIs.
Ensure effective execution of trade marketing activities, visibility plans, and promotional campaigns.
Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and provide regular reports and insights to senior management.
Ensure stock availability and optimal inventory management at distributor and retailer levels.
Negotiate with key stakeholders (distributors, retailers) for favorable terms and long-term relationships.
Identify market opportunities and new growth areas through market visits and competitor analysis.
Ensure compliance with company policies, credit controls, and operational standards.

Key Requirements:

Education:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.
Experience:
7-10 years of sales experience in FMCG / Personal care, with at least 35 years in a regional leadership role managing General Trade.
Strong understanding of channel sales, distribution management, and the GT market landscape.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong distributor/retailer relationships.
Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office and sales reporting tools.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
