Elmot Alternators Pvt Ltd, based in Hyderabad, is one of India's leading providers of rotating electrical machinery for power generation and specialty applications to India's defense sector. Under the Elmot PowerGen brand, Elmot also manufactures best-in-class gensets powered by Volvo Eicher (VECV) and Escorts Kubota engines. Established in 2019, Elmot Powergen has grown into a well-recognized name across the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana regions.

Role Description

We are seeking a results-oriented Sales Manager to lead the sales and business development for our Commercial Diesel Generator (DG) Sets across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

This is a key role for a seasoned professional with strong local market knowledge, established customer relationships, and a deep understanding of regional dynamics. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall sales performance in the assigned territory, driving growth through both direct and channel sales operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base within Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
  • Lead and manage all aspects of the sales cycle, from lead generation and prospecting to negotiation and closing.
  • Oversee and strengthen both direct sales operations and the indirect channel partner network.
  • Act as the primary bridge between the commercial (Sales/Marketing) and production teams to ensure manufacturing plans are aligned with sales forecasts and customer delivery commitments.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships at all levels of the customer's organization.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, reports, and feedback on market trends and competitor activity to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education:

    B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience:

    10+ years of sales experience, preferably in DG sets.
  • Alternate Experience:

    Candidates with significant experience in alternators or related electrical/mechanical capital goods will also be considered.
  • Technical Knowledge:

    Strong understanding of DG set applications and diverse customer segments (e.g., real estate, infrastructure, industrial).

Required Skills

  • Language:

    Fluency in Telugu is mandatory. Must be able to build rapport at all levels of the customer hierarchy.
  • Market Knowledge:

    Proven sales track record and deep familiarity with the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana markets.
  • IT Skills:

    Proficiency in MS Office is essential.
  • Soft Skills:

    Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
