Job Description

Role Overview: As a Regional Purchase Manager for the South region at the company located in Bidadi, Karnataka, your main responsibility will be to ensure that all raw and packaging materials purchased adhere to the quality standards and are available at the manufacturing locations as per the production plan. You will also be expected to provide inputs for optimal price discovery for commodities and support any innovation activities related to purchase or product. Key Responsibilities: - Manage financial and physical resources by compiling materials budgets for all purchase activities in the region, including manpower and overheads. Identify improvement opportunities, monitor cost heads periodically, and make plans to reduce unfavorable variances to ensure that all purchase priorities are met within budgeted costs. - Ensure the delivery of products and services by reviewing the availability status across different locations, guiding the team on correcting critical supply parameters in consultation with regional replenishment, manufacturing, and quality teams. Schedule monthly requirements of raw materials and packaging items and forward them to vendors. Ensure the quality of incoming materials and resolve any related issues. Also, ensure the timely availability of materials to plants. - Manage improvement and change by leading the implementation of vendor development processes in the region, reviewing vendor operations, advising vendors on necessary improvements for self-certification, and obtaining certificates for audit compliance to ensure continuous improvement in replenishment processes. - Produce and deliver products and services by ensuring that all necessary statutory licenses and requirements are met and maintained, as well as ensuring timely and cost-effective scrap sales in regions. - Other responsibilities include estimating and managing risks by participating in audit meetings, addressing statutory audit issues, leading action planning for replenishment, and ensuring identified risks are covered by insurance. Also, ensure that scrap sales are conducted as per guidelines. Qualifications Required: - Postgraduate degree in Management from premium B-Schools - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally, establish and accomplish objectives, and leverage strong analytical, supervisory, and management skills throughout the organization. - Demonstrated professional leadership skills, drive, determination, and a positive attitude. Ability to work independently with minimal direction, prioritize competing demands, and make decisions consistent with corporate goals. - 4-7 years of experience in managing a similar portfolio with a strong knowledge of the purchase function. Experience in raw and packaging materials is desirable, along with exposure to supply chain systems and the ability to work in a cross-functional team setup.,
