 Regional Manager - Affordable Housing 
 Job Summary 
The Regional Manager - Affordable Housing is responsible for overseeing the operational and financial performance of multiple affordable housing properties within a designated region. This role ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local housing regulations and company policies. The Regional Manager will lead and mentor property managers, foster positive resident relations, and drive occupancy and revenue goals while maintaining the highest standards of quality and service.  Key Responsibilities 
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of a regional portfolio of affordable housing communities, ensuring properties are maintained to company standards.
  • Supervise, train, and support on-site property management teams, providing leadership and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor and manage property financial performance, including budgets, rent collections, expense control, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all affordable housing program requirements (e.g., LIHTC, HUD, Section 8) and relevant regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct regular site visits and property inspections to assess physical asset conditions and operational effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize occupancy, reduce vacancies, and enhance resident satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve escalated resident concerns, complaints, and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely completion of repairs, renovations, and preventative maintenance.
  • Collaborate with corporate leadership on strategic planning, reporting, and implementation of company initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local agencies, housing authorities, vendors, and community partners.

  •  Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in property management, with at least 2 years in a regional or multi-site leadership role within affordable housing.
  • Strong knowledge of affordable housing regulations and programs (such as LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, etc.).
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, financial statements, and property performance metrics.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned region as required.

  •  Working Conditions 
  • Full-time position with travel to properties within the assigned region.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to address property needs or emergencies.
