Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Strategic

  • Responsible for short term and long term regional strategy (Strategic Business Plan) formulation for sales & marketing and developing operational plans aligned with overall business strategy and Vision & Mission of the organization.
  • Assess existing systems, processes, personnel and market, channel partners for potential improvements.
  • Closely scan current industry and market trends; benchmark competitive sales and marketing process and strategy to ensure leadership position in industry / product range.

Marketing &

  • Design and develop Best in Class practices and implementation strategies for Marketing & Sales with regard to sales enhancement, network expansion, credit control, optimum inventory procedures, pricing & customer satisfaction by conducting regular market research and surveys.
  • Utilize market and competitors information, global trends & personal network to ensure effective selling.
  • Ensure proficient use, placement & maintenance of ATL and BTL initiatives such as Hoardings, print and TV Ads, visibility of glow sign board and customer meets etc.

Customer Service:-

  • Setting of methods for enhancing Customer satisfaction index and Dealer satisfaction index. Maintaining excellent professional relationship with them for long term business opportunities.
  • Ensure development and maintenance of close contracts with all those associated with Tyre sales such as dealers, fleet accounts, STUs, Government Accounts, opinion leaders, OE accounts and other agencies, in the region.
  • Ensure timely delivery of stocks to various outlets and keep close liaison with key customers regularly in the region.
  • Ensure high standard of after sales service and quick response and resolution of customer complaints as per the industry bench mark.

Finance, Legal and Compliances:-

  • Preparing, providing direct input in to the Annual Operating Budget process for all product Segments. Ensuring that the product segment wise Contributions are delivered and all expenditures are within the budget.
  • Supporting Internal Audit team in conducting frequent audit of the regional and area offices, ensuring timely compliance of the findings of the audit.

  • MIS and Reports:-

    To establish system and process of generating weekly, monthly and yearly sales MIS, analyzing the MIS and submit to the all concerned within the stipulated time.

Preferred candidate profile:

  • At least 10-15 years experience, 5 years of which should be at a middle leadership level of management within sales & marketing in a blue chip organization.
  • Must have managed a sales turnover of at least Rs. 100 crores preferably in

    Lubricant, Automotive, Battery and tyre industry.

  • Professional with

    Master degree in Marketing & Sales

    from institute of repute. Graduation in any

    Engineering stream

    is desirable .
