Regional Logistics Manager - West

As the incumbent for this role, you will be tasked with overseeing the warehousing and distribution operations in the West region. Your responsibilities will include managing warehouse operations at the Central Distribution Center serving the India Market and the Regional Distribution Center for the West region, encompassing a total area of approximately 3 Lacs Square feet. You will be accountable for various aspects such as Export Operations towards Middle East, Africa, and South Asian countries, Pan India Spares Distribution, and ensuring the smooth execution of warehouse operations in collaboration with a 3rd Party Logistics service provider. Your role will involve managing and enhancing Inbound, Outbound, and Inventory transactions from the Distribution Center, ensuring a high level of accuracy, and meeting defined business SLAs. Maintaining inventory accuracy through periodic counts and conducting internal and external audits will be crucial. Upholding safety standards in the warehouse and work environment, establishing necessary controls, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ISO requirements will also fall under your purview. Additionally, you will be responsible for supervising, coaching, and training the operations workforce. Within the West Regional distribution realm, you will be responsible for liaising with various stakeholders such as Sales, Order fulfillment team, International business team, Transporters, Customers, Suppliers, Warehouse contractors, etc. Your duties will include managing customer claims, overseeing Inward and Outward operations, collaborating with the regional sales team for timely customer deliveries, and ensuring >95% service levels to avoid detention/demurrage. Your role will also involve reviewing, processing, and auditing Vendor & transporter bills, monitoring 3PL Partner & Transporters performance, and managing budgeting and expenses for warehouses effectively. Key Performance Indicators that you will be measured against include on-time delivery of customer orders, inventory accuracy, timely Inbound and Outbound process execution, claim settlement SLA adherence, budget vs actuals for warehouse expenses, accurate provisioning on a monthly basis, % utilization of trucks & freight spend for the region, 3PL performance, and legal compliances. To excel in this role, you should hold a Graduate or Engineer degree with an MBA qualification and possess a solid understanding of Logistics and warehousing. Proficiency in SAP, WMS, Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), as well as strong technical and analytical skills to manage MIS, Reports, Dashboards, etc., are essential. A relevant experience of 4-8 years and good communication skills will be advantageous for this position. In terms of relationships and contacts, you will report to the Manager of Pan India Distribution & Warehousing, and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders like Sales, Service, Planning, and distribution teams. Externally, you will engage with Customers, Vendors, Transporters, and 3PL partners to ensure the seamless functioning of the warehousing and distribution operations in the West region.,
