Job Description

Summary:

This role involves independently managing and overseeing legal matters across one or more states, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, mitigating risks, and driving efficient debt recovery. The ideal candidate is a seasoned legal professional with deep expertise in financial services law, capable of handling complex litigation and advisory functions autonomously

Role & responsibilities

Oversee litigation processes, ensuring timely resolution of disputes.
Visit customers and provide legal support to collection team on field
Warrant execution, Notice serving, etc
Take legal action as applicable to reduce and control bad debt.
Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to inform legal strategies.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidate must have experience in handling mortgage products
SARFAESI Act knowledge and experience is mandatory
Is willing to visit field locations
In-depth knowledge of end-to-end legal processes for mortgages, including property laws, secured lending, enforcement of security interests, and recovery proceedings. Proven track record in independently managing multi-state legal portfolios.
