Reference Data Business analyst

Client is looking to hire Business analyst predominantly for Reference data Capital market domain.

Candidate should have hands on experience in Data vendors viz. (Bloomberg, Refinitv, ICE etc) along with excellent skill set in static/reference data management.

Successful candidate is expected to perform the following duties

Main responsibility would be the capturing requirements, providing functional and in some cases technical designs, configuring the system, supporting the build, and working with the test team in documenting test conditions, creating test scripts, data and expected results.

Involvement may also require in defining the Business cut over approach, including instrument / static data population.Also accountable for the change and run activities associated with the delivery of the products and services, the development and operational lifecycles.

In addition, this position will take on the responsibility for:

Accountable for the operational stability, integrity and availability of products and services supported by the podAccountable for the performance of the pod activities and maintaining performance in line with benchmark objectives (inc productivity, quality and effectiveness measures)Participate in the design and planning of projects in conjunction with the Leads.

Technical Knowledge:

Minimum 8 years of experience in BA role.Strong background in Investment Banking domainStrong background in instrument and pricing reference data domain

Strong understanding of valuation of Investment Banking products - Equity, Exchange Traded Derivatives, Collective Investment Schemes, Fixed Income and FX.

Good understanding of Rates products encompassing Interest Rates, Yields, Inflation Swaps, Interest Rate Swaps, Options and Forward Rate Agreements from a data perspectiveTechnical knowledge of major data vendor feeds (e.g. Refinitiv/LSEG, Bloomberg, Markit, ICE etc.)

Experience of third party EDM software products and concept of Golden Source data provision to multiple cross business line consumers

Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills with proven background in structured analysis techniques, coupled with strong Business Analysis toolkit (requirement elicitation techniques, process mapping etc.)Have exposure on API related projects, good understanding how API should workProducing functional/technical specifications with traceability to requirementsDesigning the system configuration

Ability to work independently and take accountability of activities of a project from initiation through to delivery

Defining best practice standards and formats of analysis artefacts for use across the teamInvolvement in test planning, preparation and pre-UAT test execution

Non Technical Skills:

Experience on JIRA, Confluence etc or on related tools.Knowledge of Agile / ScrumGood interpersonal and communication skills as he/she has to work in global environments.
