Job Description

OpenShift Support Engineer L1

monitoring, routine checks, ticket triaging

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform daily health checks on OpenShift clusters and log monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana/EFK).
Raise and triage incidents as per defined SOPs and SLA timelines.
Support pod-level actions such as start/stop/delete.
Maintain shift logs, daily service reports, and perform routine checklist-based validations.
Track backup job status, cron tasks, and cluster alerts.
Escalate issues to L2/L3 after basic validation.

Required Skills

6 months to 2 years of experience in technical support or platform operations.
Familiarity with:

Linux commands and system administration (RHEL/CentOS)
Kubernetes/OpenShift basics – pods, services, namespaces
CLI tools: oc, kubectl
YAML and containerization concepts

Willingness to work in shifts and follow structured support processes.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications
: RHCSA (preferred), basic OpenShift/Kubernetes training or labs
Basic understanding of CI/CD, DevOps workflows, and cloud environments
Strong eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow into L2 roles
