OpenShift Support Engineer L1 to support day-to-day operations of Red Hat OpenShift clusters under a managed services model. This role is ideal for individuals with a foundational understanding of Linux systems and a keen interest in building a career in Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies. You will be part of a structured support team, focusing on monitoring, routine checks, ticket triaging , and assisting L2/L3 engineers in maintaining the stability of OpenShift platforms. Roles & Responsibilities Perform daily health checks on OpenShift clusters and log monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana/EFK). Raise and triage incidents as per defined SOPs and SLA timelines. Support pod-level actions such as start/stop/delete. Maintain shift logs, daily service reports, and perform routine checklist-based validations. Track backup job status, cron tasks, and cluster alerts. Escalate issues to L2/L3 after basic validation. Required Skills 6 months to 2 years of experience in technical support or platform operations. Familiarity with: Linux commands and system administration (RHEL/CentOS) Kubernetes/OpenShift basics – pods, services, namespaces CLI tools: oc, kubectl YAML and containerization concepts Willingness to work in shifts and follow structured support processes.
